Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Order of the Holy Innocents is proud to announce that we are now available for weddings, commitment ceremonies, and renewal of vows.  Since we don't discriminate, we would be honored to officiate at all types of ceremonies, including:

  • Catholic Weddings
  • Catholic Wedding Mass
  • Non-denominational ceremony
  • Interdenominational ceremonies
  • Same-sex Holy Union ceremony, and
  • We will also happily assist you in creating your own ceremony.

All weddings are performed at your location, where ever that may be.  We will gladly celebrate your ceremony outdoors, at the beach, at your home, or any other location (within reason).

The Order does not "charge" for celebrating any Sacrament; however, we do accept honorariums for our time.  In general, honorariums average $300 for the ceremony itself.  This includes the rehearsal the night before, the ceremony, signing and mailing the license, and preparing the Marriage Certificate.  If more time is spent in creating the ceremony (as in a custom service), a larger honorarium is appropriate.

A non-refundable fee of $50 is required to book the date.  In the case of a schedule change, this fee will be re-applied to the new date if the Order is provided at least 30 days notice.

Pre-marital counseling is not provided, because none of the members of the Order are licensed counselors.  We are, however, prepared to meet with you prior to your ceremony to iron out all of the details.

We have a number of ceremonies available to choose from, or you may design your own.  Of the choices we provide, we have clearly marked the areas where you may insert your reading selections.  Readings may be chosen from the Old or New Testament; or any other appropriate religious text.  Christian-specific readings are NOT required.

We have two main rules:

  1. Since we are all clerics, and are authorized to officiate at weddings due to our status within our religious organization, all services MUST be religious in nature.  This doesn't mean that the service has to be a full Mass, but it does mean that there have to be prayers and religious readings included.  We will help you fulfill this obligation as we assist you in designing your ceremony.
  2. We believe that (in general) weddings are very special for the Bride.  As such, until we are told otherwise, we believe that the Bride is our "Boss" and we will obey her in all things.
